Monthly Central Greece Orthopaedic Community meetings

The Orthopaedic Community meetings in Central Greece take place in the third week of each month. They act as a source of up-to-date knowledge of orthopaedic issues that is open to orthopaedic surgeons of the whole province of Thessalia in Central Greece and the neighbouring regions of Lamia, Katerini, Veria, Livadia, as well as to residents and medical students. It is an initiative taken and organized by the staff of the Orthopaedic Department, which specifically aims at developing and establishing standards for orthopaedic specialty medical practice and present data on how to best apply the current trends in Orthopaedic Surgery, thus, at developing collective knowledge of the orthopaedic community.

In each meeting, 3-4 highly acknowledged surgeons or scientists from a broader spectrum of disciplines give lectures on topics of interest and they share experiences of their practice related to the topic under discussion.
